A non-governmental, non-profit organization with its headquarters in the Netherlands, HealthNet TPO was established on the tenet that every person has a fundamental right to inexpensive, high-quality healthcare. HealthNet TPO collaborates with interdisciplinary professionals to design and carry out creative, culturally sensitive, evidence-based public health interventions. These interventions are primarily focused on creatively developing health systems, providing mental health and psychosocial care, training health workers both short- and long-term, controlling communicable diseases (such as malaria), and developing health financing programs. HealthNet TPO provides innovative and out-of-the-ordinary solutions that encourage self-sufficiency and sustainable, universally available health care.

The mission of HealthNet TPO in Afghanistan is to enhance the well-being of the Afghan populace by assisting local communities and the Afghan government in creating a long-term healthcare infrastructure.  Since 1994, HealthNet TPO has been conducting integrated health projects in Afghanistan, mostly under the management of indigenous workers with technical assistance from head office professionals who are based abroad. HealthNet TPO Afghanistan fights malaria, offers mental health and psychosocial services, primary healthcare, and supports mother and child health care by doing operation research and training community midwives. The main programs that Health Net TPO is presently carrying out in 22 provinces include the malaria control program, the SEHATMANDI projects in four provinces, nutrition, mental health, and psychosocial programs via the use of a community system building strategy.

Sexual exploitation and abuse, as well as child abuse, are unacceptable at HealthNet TPO. All complaints and concerns about child abuse and sexual exploitation and abuse by HNITPO personnel and Related Personnel are taken seriously by HNITPO.

Job Description:

Mothers’ and children’s health care:

  • Supply women and children with fundamental healthcare services.
  • Apply and administer drugs and other therapies as needed, according to the regulations and instructions set out.
  • In order to enhance general health and well-being, educate patients about preventative measures and encourage good lifestyle choices.
  • Resolve any issues or problems by keeping an eye on moms’ and kids’ general health and development.
  • Assist pregnant women with ANC and PNC consultations given by the midwife by providing technical supervision.
  • Preserve patient medical records and provide follow-up care as needed.
  • When necessary, assist in making referrals for expert medical treatment. II. Management of MCHC:
  • Assure the Mother and Child Health Center’s (MCHC) daily administration and oversight.
  • Make careful to adhere to the MCHC standards and advice note about youth integration.
  • Make sure that while offering services to women and children, MCHC staff members follow the guiding values of respect, confidentiality, safety and security, and non-discrimination.
  • Make certain that resources are used judiciously in accordance with organization and donor-approved rules.
  •  Create a weekly activity plan in collaboration with the MCHC team and the technical manager of the implementing partner, MHPSS, and assist all MCHC personnel in carrying out the plan’s suggested tasks. III. Management of Data and Information:
  • In charge of preserving the privacy of all registered papers.
  •  In charge of gathering and disseminating daily, weekly, and monthly statistics on all MCHC operations to the line supervisors, who include the Provincial Officer, Technical Manager, and Project Coordinator.
  • Assure that all MCHC employees’ data is collected accurately.
  • Make sure that all client work is kept private and that ethical standards are always upheld; this includes getting beneficiaries’ informed permission before taking any photos inside the MCHC. IV. Reporting and Documentation:
  • Encourage the recording of lessons learned, human interest tales, and best practices.
  • Write up reports on program implementation, successes, and difficulties on a regular basis.
  • Make sure the MCHC’s health and safety regulations are followed, and notify the line manager of any maintenance-related problems.
  • Notify the line manager of any events that occur inside MCHC in a timely manner so that they may provide direction and take the necessary action.
  • Report any difficulties encountered during the execution of the MCHC activities to the line manager right away.
  • Complete additional duties as delegated by the line manager.

Job Requirements:

  • a medical degree from an accredited school and a current medical practice license (exit exam required)
  • Comprehensive understanding and proficiency in mother and child health.
  • It is ideal if you have shown expertise working in a clinical or hospital environment with mothers and children.
  • Knowledge of psychological and health program management.
  • Proficiency in delicate and pertinent cultural matters.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Capacity to exhibit strong organizational abilities and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Capable of writing and speaking clearly and easily in Dari, Pashto, and English.
  • Capacity to work under pressure and fulfill deadlines.
