Liaison & Reporting Assistant Job in Kabul At Union Aid Through ACBAR Job

In July 1979, a group of social activists and benefactors from Afghanistan founded Union Aid (UA) in Peshawar, Pakistan. Union Aid provided different health, education, and skill development initiatives to benefit Afghan refugees and host populations residing in and surrounding refugee camps. Through hospitals, labor rooms, Basic Health Units (BHUs), the distribution of prosthetic limbs, and first aid instruction, UA has been offering basic health services. Through the provision of formal basic and higher education, skill development programs for men and women, literacy centers, and scholarships, UA assisted Afghan Refugees in the field of education.

Humanitarian and development sectors including healthcare, nutrition, education, scholarships, technical vocational education trainings, family support programs, emergency response and support, livelihoods, food security, shelter, building and renovating community-level infrastructure, environmental protection, and WASH are all actively supported on a regular basis by Union Aid.

Job Description:

Union Aid must increase its ability to operate in the areas of coordination, communication, relationship-building, and liaison with the de facto authorities in Kabul and at the province and district levels in addition to implementing projects across the nation. The staff’s capacity development will be initiated by the Liaison and Reporting Assistant (LRA), who will teach employees in coordination, communication, and reporting. Additionally, under the direction of the Program Coordinator and with the backing of upper management, s/he will oversee coordination of relations with the central de facto authority.

  • To closely collaborate with the program coordinator to study and comprehend the right documentation and reporting of new grant introduction letters MoUs to the appropriate ministries and the Afghan government’s Ministry of Economy, as well as to guarantee the timely submission of reports.
  • helping the program coordinator plan, create, coordinate, and sign memorandums of understanding (MOUs). You should also follow up with the appropriate government agencies to ensure that the MOU draft is completed on schedule.
  • In the event that the program coordinator is not present, effectively and efficiently represent Union Aid to all relevant line ministries and sectoral departments of the government and convey the organization’s humanitarian goals. 
  • Help the program coordinator manage and coordinate activities between Union Aid and authorities, as well as help them develop a formal, lawful connection and effective means of communication.
  • helping the program coordinator maintain a cordial working relationship with government agencies and departments, particularly the Ministry of Economy and other line departments that are involved in the program.
  • helping the program coordinator to follow up on requirements set out by the office regarding the online reporting platform, such as project registration, semi-annual reports, and other formal communication.
  • helping the program coordinator deliver or pick up letters or papers from appropriate ministries or government offices and giving the line manager confirmation.
  • Maintain up-to-date, correctly organized, and quickly available documentation and files for internal users. You may also scan and upload them to a shared drive for a digital record.
  • When it is judged appropriate, represent Union Aid-related operations at pertinent government meetings in the absence of the program coordinator and report the outcome with SMT.
