International humanitarian organization Medair was founded in 1988. Since 1996, Medair has been conducting operations in Afghanistan, focusing mostly on initiatives related to health, water and sanitation, and livelihoods, with a notable emphasis on rehabilitation efforts in isolated regions. The three current programs are disaster risk reduction, food security, and water and sanitation.
Medair’s integrated emergency response attempts to address the high rates of illness, malnutrition, and food insecurity in the Tirinkot area. In order to improve results for disadvantaged families, the project aims to expand and enhance WASH services, including infrastructure related to water supply and hygiene practices.
Medair is an integrated emergency response that attempts to address the high levels of food insecurity, illness, and malnutrition in Uruzgan, a region severely impacted by war and drought. Drawing from Medair’s extensive experience in the Central Highlands and Kandahar, the project aims to enhance and expand the use of life-saving preventive and curative nutrition and health services by mothers, pregnant women, and children U5. It also aims to expand access to clean water, lower vulnerability to water-related and other preventable diseases, and enhance and increase food security for the most vulnerable families through the distribution of food vouchers.
Job Description:
- Establishing and maintaining BHC Shash Burja’s administrative operations, such as handling staff and Maharams’ needs for inter-district travel, local procurement, and office upkeep.
- In charge of the BHC shop, provide stock products upon request, and accurately compile monthly stock reports.
- Organize the assets and maintain an up-to-date inventory at BHC Shash Burja.
- Encourage open communication and strong ties with the local government by giving the sector supervisors pertinent information. Â
- Make arrangements with PSO to pay the BHC rental each month.
- prompt reporting of any suspicions about personnel or external linkages engaging in fraudulent conduct.
- adherence to Medair principles and active participation in the team’s well-being.
- compliance with Afghan tax and NGO laws.
- obeying all NRS regulations, following Security Standard Operating Procedures, and keeping confidentiality at all times
- Based on the PSO’s state, estimate BHC Shash Burja’s financial requirements and increase PDFs appropriately.
- Make sure basic purchase finance processes are followed.
- Make sure that all financial obligations are fulfilled on schedule and accurately.
